As a CNC Machinist, your learning will consist of training on a variety of machines such as Milling, Turning & Grinding Machines. Your time will be split between attending In-Comm Training Centre in Telford, where you will spend time learning basic engineering skills, and on-site putting your learning into practice with our skilled engineers.
Your duties will include:
- Producing components using hand fitting techniques
- Preparing and using milling machines
- Producing CAD models (drawings) using a CAD system
- Producing engineering project plans
- Preparing and using CNC machining centres
- General welding applications
- Complying with statutory regulations and safety requirements
Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard: This apprenticeship will be delivered over 3 years. The apprentice will be required to attend the training provider full time for the first 12 months and then one day a week for the remainder of the apprenticeship. In-Comm Training Services in Telford, TF3 3AJ. Please ensure you can travel to this address as well as to the company address.
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8.00 am - 4.45 pm.
