Housekeeper - Aspull Ward Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We wish to appoint a housekeeper to join our 28 bedded ward within the Division of Specialist Services, who has a \’can-do\’ approach, enthusiasm, high standards and understands the importance of a clean, well organised, equipped clinical area.

The post is on a permanent basis for 28.5 hours per week with a shift pattern of Monday to Sunday.

Please note candidates will be required to present original certificates for qualifications at interview stage.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness on the ward.
2. Maintain stock levels and complete regular stock-take audits.
3. Order Ward supplies.
4. Provide refreshments to post-op patients.
5. Conduct daily/weekly checks as per infection control guidelines.
6. Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards on the ward.
7. Ensure the ward is safe and tidy at all times.
8. Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks and food.
9. Respect the privacy and dignity of patients whilst carrying out household duties.
