We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Colchester, Essex, to support Key Stage 2 children with ADHD. This full-time role involves working with students at individual workstations, providing them with focused, one-on-one support to help them succeed academically and emotionally.

Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support for KS2 children with ADHD.
- Assist with personalized learning plans and behaviour strategies.
- Ensure students stay focused and engaged while working at separate workstations.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to create a structured and positive learning environment.
- Offer emotional and social support to help students feel confident and supported.
- Previous experience working with children with ADHD or other SEN.
- Knowledge of sensory needs and experience in implementing sensory-based learning or therapeutic activities.
- Patience, understanding, and the ability to keep students on task.
- Familiarity with communication tools such as PECS, Makaton, or alternative communication systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working closely with teachers, specialists, and parents.
- Ability to provide personal care, if required.
- A relevant qualification in SEN support or childcare (desirable but not essential) e.g. CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools, Autism Awareness, Makaton, etc.
