Senior Ecological Consultant

As a Senior Ecological Consultant , you will provide specialist ecological input on various projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct habitat and protected species surveys according to current industry guidelines and best practices.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, including technical contributions to EIA documents, Habitat Regulations Assessments, and engagement with stakeholders.
• Develop fee proposals, especially for larger, multidisciplinary projects with complex scopes of work.
• Manage projects, including delegation, supervision, and mentoring of consultants, assistants, and graduates as necessary.
• Ensure quality control of documents prepared by other team members or as directed by the line/project manager.
• Provide line management to consultants, assistants, and graduates within the team.

Requirements:

• Previously worked as an Ecological Consultant or in a similar role.
• Have experience as a named ecologist or accredited agent within a species mitigation licence.
• Strong background in ecological consulting.
• Hold a degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of land management and environmental net gain.
• Hold a CIEEM membership.
• Possess at least one protected species licence.
• Passion for protecting and enhancing the planet.
