Description: Translate prescriptions filled out by the MDO and enter them into the patient's profile. Review patient allergies, therapies, and current medications on various forms and document them in the patient profile history. Verify that all prescription information is complete and accurate, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations. Duties may vary according to business needs.
Essential Functions
- Translate prescriptions from the MDO and enter them into the patient's profile, including prescriptions from imaged prescriptions within an order status.
- Enter necessary supplies in accordance with state regulations and update allergy, medication, or health condition information.
- Perform initial data entry (translation) of prescriptions and update patient profiles with allergies, medications, or health conditions.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and adhere to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
