Brighton Met College, part of the Chichester College Group, is seeking a Specialist Technician in Media, Film and Broadcast to support teaching and learning in our Film and Media department.
The role involves:
- Supporting students at regular live broadcasts from Brighton Dome, typically in the evenings.
- Assisting students with their learning and projects.
- Giving demonstrations in the mac labs, podcast suite, or film studios when required.
- Ensuring all film and media equipment is serviced and ready for lessons and loans.
- Ensuring student safety in the studios and the safe operation of all equipment in specialist studios and work areas.
- Managing the loan of specialist equipment, including booking out equipment to staff and students and ensuring its safe return.
- Regular servicing and maintenance of equipment, as well as purchasing consumables and equipment.
- Participating in the set-up of our renowned End of Year show every June.
