Management Accountant

Reed Accountancy & Finance are seeking a Management Accountant to join our clients team on behalf of Reed Accountancy & Finance, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment partner. This role is based in Folkestone and requires a professional who can start immediately. The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial documents and procedures.

Management Accountant Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

• Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.

• Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed.

• Implement policies and procedures to ensure that financial information is secure and stored in compliance with legal and company policies.

• Manage budgets, control inventory, and costs, and perform variance analysis.

• Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure the completion of audits on time.

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficient in MS Office and finance software.

• Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.

• High integrity and openness combined with a commitment to good governance.

• The ideal candidate would need to show experience obtained from a similar role, be in commutable distance to our client in Maidstone, and be available to start work immediately.
