About the Role

Fugro is seeking an Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Consulting Specialist to join our Europe and Africa Geoconsulting team. The position can be based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire; Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium; or Nootdorp, Netherlands. Reporting to the Department Head for Geophysics Geoconsulting, your responsibilities will include:

1. Coordinating regional screening studies to assess UXO risk levels for offshore wind installations and advising on risk mitigation measures.
2. Defining optimal technical solutions for UXO surveys on marine sites, working with internal stakeholders and external clients to determine the best technical campaigns.

Candidate Requirements

• A degree or MSc in History, Archaeology, Explosive Engineering, Earth Sciences, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Previous experience as a UXO Consultant is essential.
• Chartership or active pursuit of chartership through professional institutions for ALARP assessment support.
• Willingness to travel overseas.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• A passion for learning and innovation.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build influential relationships.
• Results-oriented mindset.
