Role: Installer CDH (Customer Delivery Hub)

Location: Theale (CDH), Berkshire

Position: Permanent

Salary: £31,213 annually (equivalent to £14.59 per hour)

Scheduled Hours: 41 hours per week. Available Hours: 41 per week, AM and PM shifts available. Our Installers work 4 days out of 6 (Monday - Saturday) which means you’ll enjoy 3 days off each week to maintain a healthy work/life balance. We also offer overtime when required so there’s potential to top up your earnings.

  • AM shift: 06:00 am to 17:00 pm working 4 days out of 6 (Monday to Saturday).
  • PM shift: 10:30 am to 9:30 pm working 4 days out of 6 (Monday- Saturday) which means you will enjoy 3 days off each week. The PM shift includes working 2 out of 5 Saturdays. Please note when working a Saturday the PM shift hours are 7 am until 6 pm. The PM shift attracts an additional shift premium of 3.1% of the base rate with a potential earning of up to £32,316 annually.

As a John Lewis & Partners Customer Delivery Driver Installer your typical day may involve:

  • Using your local knowledge to plan your schedule for the day.
  • Handling a complex installation in a customer home.
  • Taking part in a Forum to help shape the future direction of your department.

Job Requirements: To land this role as a Customer Delivery Driver Installer you’ll need a valid UK C1 Driving Licence with no more than 6 points, valid DCPC and valid Tachograph Card.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications:

  • The ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role.
  • Previous experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
  • Strong communication skills, both over the phone and face-to-face.

Desirable experience skills and qualifications:

  • Installation and disconnection of white goods.
  • TV installations.
  • Assembly of flat pack.
