We require skilled/semi-skilled Boning Hall Operatives to work in our Shrewsbury Site in Shropshire. Working from 6:30am, Monday to Friday, this role requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand in the preparation of a fresh product.
Working within the butchery team to complete the daily planning order to a high standard ensuring that quality and pace are maintained.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Ensure that all products are boned out/trimmed to meet customer/company specifications whilst also maximising yield and minimising waste.
- Breakdown beef cuts to customer/company specification.
- Learn and understand all cuts of the beef carcass.
- Carry out all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with regard to health and safety and food safety.
- Drive and deliver necessary processing efficiency through consistent and correct equipment operation.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality, HSE, animal welfare, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and handling processes.
- Follow traceability process and ensure product and labelling integrity at all times.
- Previous butchery experience in a food production environment is essential.
- Ability to demonstrate knife skills for the skilled roles, or willingness to learn in semi-skilled/trainee roles.
- Ability to work on own initiative whilst working as part of a team, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
