The predicted salary is between 25000 - 42000 £ per year.

Fully competent on all relevant operations including intermediate level changeover / set up of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging equipment. This includes packaging lines and downstream processes (thermo former, cartonner, check weigh and over wrapper, labellers), documentation completion and relevant MRP / SAP transactions, cleaning procedures and in-process QC activities associated with packaging operations. Maintaining high quality standards, in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements within GMP and Safety guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works under some direct supervision
  • Will package a wide variety of products on a range of secondary and tertiary packaging operations according to SOPs
  • Selects and dispenses required material, loads equipment, making adjustments to line as necessary
  • Responsible for full line changeovers and set-up according to detailed standard operating procedures and training aids.
  • May carry out trouble shooting root cause analysis and minor maintenance work to minimise down time.
  • Has responsibility for production and all associated paperwork and computer data entry.
  • Required to carry out full clean down of the packaging line in accordance with established procedures
  • To actively take part in continuous improvement/SFT/NPI (Shop Floor Transformation & New Product Introduction) and CANDO activity within the department to support a continuous improvement culture and drive operational performance improvement.
  • Investigates and reports problems on equipment and organises maintenance with a primary objective of minimising process downtime.
  • Responsible for the quality of work as all work is subject to GMP
  • Will monitor and record all actions and document as appropriate within GMP requirements.
