Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust (NPCAT) wishes to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Administrative Officer to provide general and financial administrative support to a busy Estates and Facilities Department as maternity cover.

The Estates and Facilities Department is a central team providing building maintenance, capital infrastructure projects and health and safety support across the NPCAT family of 38 schools and 2 sixth forms from across the Diocese of Middlesbrough. With more than 12,300 pupils and 1,500 staff, the Trust is one of the North-East's largest Catholic Trusts.

The successful candidate will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification / have relevant experience and must possess excellent communication and organisation skills.

The role will involve:

  • Providing administrative support to the Trust Estates and Facilities department e.g. external contractor visits, dealing with correspondence, answering the telephone, photocopying and dealing with initial queries.
  • Producing information and reports as required from centralised management information systems.
  • Raising and processing work orders in line with the Trust's financial regulations and procedures.
  • Monitoring the Trust's internal Estates and Facilities help desk and emails daily, directing all enquiries to the responsible manager.
  • Acting as an Estates and Facilities central team contact for school and contractor queries and deal with any routine correspondence and communication in respect of these issues.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Have experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Work effectively and constructively as part of a team.
