The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered. The base location for this role is Greggs House - Newcastle, although consideration will be given to hybrid working.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Workload Planning team at Greggs as a Labour Standards Manager, responsible for building and maintaining accurate standards across our estate of over 2,000 company managed shops, helping us to align schedules with customer demand and identifying opportunities to improve operational processes to improve service and optimise costs.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure all labour standards are well documented with clear traceability, supported by video evidence and detailed studies where appropriate.
  • Build standards for products and processes in such a way that they can be aggregated at varying levels to suit the purpose (product, category, process etc.).
  • Ensure effective systems are in place to manage key documents including labour standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Routinely review standards to ensure they are updated in line with business changes.
  • Work closely with finance teams to ensure that costings for shop produced items are understood and reflected in price/margins.
  • Work closely with the Labour Planning Manager to analyse and review the impact of potential process changes on headcount, labour costs and operations.
  • Analyse and understand bottlenecks and resource constraints in shops which impact on service levels and standards (for example equipment/people).
  • Work closely with and provide support and advice to central operations teams to ensure that new and existing operations are optimised.
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities to improve processes to reduce non-value adding time.

About you:

  • You will fit right into this role if you have knowledge of, and experience in applying a variety of work measurement techniques include direct work study, production studies, activity sampling.
  • Experience in building standards from pre-determined timings (MTM/MOST etc.).
  • Experience in using systems to manage and build standards (for example LaborPro, Opus, Logile etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills, including use of Excel.
  • Numerical – A level or higher in a maths based subject desirable.
  • Experience of working with WFM systems (desirable).
  • Great influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • An understanding of retail operations.
