The Company: We are currently seeking proactive and reliable Storekeepers to join our clients team. This is a great opportunity for individuals with strong organisational and communication skills who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role has the potential to become permanent after a 12-week period for the right candidate. This is not your standard warehouse role — the successful candidate will need to absorb and retain technical information quickly, work independently, and liaise effectively with internal departments under pressure. Full training will be provided.
The Role:
- Accurately record deliveries, issues, and returns using the internal CFS computer system
- Match goods received with delivery notes and ensure accuracy
- Unload deliveries from suppliers and internal departments
- Ensure timely onward delivery of goods and maintain site security
- Issue goods to Engineering Department employees per request notes
- Maintain stock levels and complete stock takes as required
- Keep stores clean, tidy, and organised at all times
- Deliver fault materials to site (subject to driver training and insurance requirements)
- Participate in standby availability rota after training, serving internal customers with minimal support
The Person:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential)
- Flexible to travel between sites
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace (essential – will be assessed at interview)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good customer service mindset
- Comfortable with using IT systems for inventory and reporting tasks
- Experience in a Stores or Warehouse role
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence
- Solid understanding of workplace Health & Safety procedures
- Overhead Gantry Crane operation experience
- Experience using IT-based inventory systems
- Stocktaking knowledge and experience
