We are looking for multiple manufacturing Engineers (Tooling) to support a key client based in Reading. The main focus of the role will be to ensure that the design, procurement and operation of process, tooling and equipment is safe, cost effective and configured in line with company standards.
Your Missions:
- Design of tooling or equipment utilising Siemens NX software.
- Presentation of solutions at interim and design reviews.
- Production (or management of the production) of all Technical Product specifications in support of the design (drawings, specifications, process flows, MI’s etc).
- Manage the modification of existing tooling and equipment as required.
- Produce and maintain Design History Files utilising Siemens Teamcenter.
- Assist in the procurement of tooling and equipment.
- Responsible for requirements capture and management to meet customer expectations.
- Stakeholder management.
- Optioneering: Idea creation, analysis & down selection of proposed candidate solutions.
- Planning, coordination and execution of physical experiments, tests & trials.
- Solution analysis using “Engineering Virtual Reality”.
- Mentor and guide the work of other engineers in making technical decisions.
- Operate as checker/peer reviewer for design team to ensure high quality of technical output.
- Ensure responsibilities are understood and applied with regards to the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
- Safeguard Company information and assets from unauthorised access or disclosure, reporting security breaches and applying security at all times.
Qualifications:
- Competent in IT, including standard office software, NX and Teamcentre.
- Proven track record of driving technical delivery, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Technical awareness of production.
- Delivery of technical projects/programmes.
- Deliver Manufacturing Engineering solutions across the full engineering lifecycle to a high standard.
- Effective stakeholder management, engaging others for positive impact on decisions and delivery.
- Experience working in a nuclear safety regulated environment.
- Experience applying nuclear safety principles (DSA03-DNSR).
- Degree in a STEM discipline.
- FMEA experience.
- Quality tool experience (SPC).
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) skills, including Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect & IBM DOORS.
- Basic p6 knowledge is desirable.
This role requires the successful candidate to hold DV clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a sole UK national.
