Page Personnel is hiring for a 12-month fixed-term contract as an Accountant in the Banking Sector, based in London, UK. The role offers hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package.

About Our Client

An International Investment Bank with an office in the City of London.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Finance and deputize in their absence.
• Prepare the Daily P&L with analysis and commentary on variances.
• Support all regulatory BoE and PRA returns.
• Ensure all financial accounting complies with UK regulatory obligations.
• Prepare Financial Statements and collaborate with auditors.
• Assist with Corporation Tax returns and VAT reporting, including quarterly VAT submissions.
• Investigate, document, and resolve accounting queries related to the London Branch\’s Trial Balance.
• Resolve stakeholder issues as needed.
• Monitor and review all General Ledger Accounts under the Finance Department\’s responsibility.
• Maintain and update departmental procedures considering system and process changes.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in accounting within the Banking sector.
• Knowledge of banking products and/or regulatory reporting.
• Reconciliation skills.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience.
• Availability to commit to a 12-month contract and start in early to mid-June 2025.
