We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our specialist de-vegetation team in Manchester!
The Role: As a CSCS Gold Carded Site Supervisor specializing in de-vegetation, you will be crucial to the successful execution of our site clearance and vegetation management projects in and around Manchester. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of all on-site de-vegetation activities, ensuring projects adhere to specifications, ecological guidelines, health and safety regulations, timelines, and budgets.
What We're Looking For:
- Essential:
- Valid CSCS Gold Card (Supervisory).
- Proven experience in a Site Supervisor role, specifically within de-vegetation, arboriculture, or land clearance projects.
- Strong understanding of de-vegetation methods, equipment, and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to vegetation management and site clearance.
- Familiarity with environmental considerations and ecological guidelines pertinent to de-vegetation (e.g., protected species, waste disposal regulations).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams and manage challenging situations effectively.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting site plans and de-vegetation specifications.
- Relevant machinery tickets/competencies (e.g., chainsaw, chipper, excavator with vegetation attachments) are highly advantageous.
- First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- SMSTS/SSSTS qualification is highly desirable.
- Based in or able to commute easily to Manchester and surrounding areas will be ideal.
