We're working with a well-known client of ours, based in the Midlands. We're looking for an experienced communications lead. Someone with a strong background in managing and building the group communication plan to inspire their stakeholders, internally and externally. This plan will feed the internal communications, external communications and public affairs teams’ core communication plans. Ideally you have worked in retail, leisure, hospitality, travel etc. This is definitely for someone from a consumer communications background - used to fast paced environments and highly commercial. This isn’t suitable for someone wanting a remote role or a slower-paced business.
You will be responsible for:
- Strategic planning - developing group communications
- Bringing to life the communications strategy - acting as a lead in the team
- Managing stakeholders - internally and externally
- Working alongside the core partners in Public Affairs, PR etc
- Working with the communications leads to identify success and areas for improvement, using performance and measurement frameworks to monitor impact and inform continuous improvement
This is more of a corporate communications role than PR so please don’t apply if you’re looking for a PR / press role. You need to be able to travel to the client office in the week (ideally 2 to 3 days) as this is a critically visible position. There may be other travelling required to other sites but essentially you need to be at HQ.
