The role

At PwC, we are part of a growing market risk assurance and advisory team within our market-leading Banking Prudential regulatory team. Our growth is driven by strong market demand, as market risk is one of the most challenging risk calculations and a key focus for clients navigating complex new regulations.

As a successful Senior Associate, you will work with diverse clients across the financial services sector and collaborate with senior team members to identify and pursue business opportunities.

What your days will look like:

• Work on projects related to market and traded regulatory risk requirements.
• Support the development of new technology tools and digital assets relevant to traded risk.
• Identify the impact of prudential regulatory changes and help clients implement necessary changes to remain compliant.
• Assess client operations against industry standards, market risk standards, and regulatory expectations, supported by a team of experts.
• Assist in marketing and sales activities.

This role is for you if:

• You understand market risk methodologies used for risk management and regulatory capital calculations, including standardised approaches (SBM, DRC, RRAO), internal models (ES, NMRF, PLA tests/back testing), and CVA (SA-CVA and BA-CVA).
• You have good knowledge of the trading risk regulatory environment, especially regarding EU and UK regulations, and understand the impact of Basel 3 reforms.
• You have relevant experience in Financial Services, either in industry or consulting.
• You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
