Experience of selling cost-effective distribution, transport and/or warehousing solutions is a ‘must have’ for this role in the Cardiff area. You will be joining a specialist logistics service provider that has an aggressive programme to gain additional business across the UK. Our client understands the pressures faced by manufacturers as well as major retailers and food-service providers and so must you! You will be selling the services of a well-developed logistics network that provides a more cost-effective alternative to most other 3PLs, so it is a given that you will already have an established professional network within the industry to approach. Key Responsibilities: * Creating and maintaining a network of contacts to ensure a constant flow of leads for your new business pipeline. *Taking sales opportunities through from qualification to ‘on-boarding’ the new business. *Drive improvements across the sales process. *Provide guidance and coaching to more junior members of the regional team. Skills and Experience: * Previous experience of working in a contract management or key account environment with FMCG organisations *Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities within the manufacturing and/or retail sectors. * A good commercial acumen along with strong negotiation and presentation skills to senior level are essential. * Comfortable approaching and establishing a rapport with new and varied personalities.
