Here at Diageo, we are looking for a commercially minded Account Executive to join our On Trade channel in the Home Counties. As a Key Account Executive within the On Trade, you will work with category-leading brands such as Smirnoff, Guinness, Tanqueray, Johnnie Walker, Chase, and Casamigos.
You will be responsible for key independents and groups in the Home Counties, ensuring our customer, category, and brand plans are executed effectively in outlets. Your goal is to ensure that wherever we connect with a customer or consumer, they will enjoy working with or drinking our brands.
About the Function:
Our Sales team builds relationships, connects with customers, and sells our brands in vibrant markets. They help sell iconic brands across 180 countries annually. Using curiosity and passion, they leverage consumer insight and digital platforms to reach new customers and markets, supporting growth and career development.
Responsibilities as Account Executive On Trade:
The Key Account Executive owns and leads the commercial agenda and performance within the region, managing approximately 900 outlets. The primary objectives are to deliver distribution and secure pouring agreements for the full Diageo portfolio, coordinating activation activities with a dedicated Activation Specialist, and supporting regional team leadership.
- Ensure outlets in your region meet predefined standards and support the execution of plans.
- Coordinate performance across the city, supporting roles such as Key Account Manager, Sales Executive, Quality Executive, and Activation Specialist.
- Secure distribution and pouring agreements across approximately 900 outlets.
- Manage spend and forecast activities to deliver ROI.
- Achieve annual operating plan targets.
- Develop customer relationships within the account base.
- Manage new business opportunities.
- Own Route to Market (RTM) relationships for the city.
- Track and measure outlet performance and execution levels (in CRM systems).
- Ensure quality and serve standards for Guinness Draught with support from the Quality Executive.
