Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SQL Database Administrator to join the informatics team at a reputable public sector to support system migrations from legacy SQL versions and server to the new HCI environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Database monitoring
  • Data extracts
  • Backup & disaster recovery
  • Applying SQL Server service packs
  • Performance tuning
  • Database migrations
  • Implementation High Availability solutions
  • Support of SSAS, SSRS & SSIS

The successful candidate will have:

  • ITIL exposure
  • Significant specialist knowledge and experience of MS SQL administration
  • Knowledge of networking
  • Server infrastructure knowledge
  • Experience with VMWare
