An esteemed organisation specialising in the design and manufacture of process machinery for the pharmaceutical industry is seeking hard-working and capable Mechanical Fitters / Field Engineers. This role involves factory machine assembly and subsequent site installation and servicing.
Day-to-day of the role:

Mechanical assembly of full machines and sub-assemblies, including gearboxes, chain drives, leadscrews, and bearing housings.

Etching logos and serial numbers on machinery.

Working from mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.

Conducting fault finding, troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem-solving.

Operating tool-room machinery such as drills, saws, lathes, and mills.

Completing inspection and quality documents post-assembly.

Packing and crating of machines upon completion.

Performing field service work, both domestically and internationally.

NVQ, BTEC, HNC, HND, or similar qualification in an engineering-related discipline is preferred.

Significant consideration given to time-served apprentices.

Experience in engineering, manufacturing, and technical/industrial environments.

Basic electrical knowledge for cable runs and basic pneumatics is advantageous.

Possession of a driving licence is preferable.
