The Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will:

  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of Sulhamstead Abbots, Reading (W. Berkshire) pupils.

  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion

  • Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement, working in a nurture intervention provision and across the schools.

As the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will be working in all the Key stages timetabled from Year 1 – Year 6, depending on where the cover is required. Currently the primary in Sulhamstead Abbots, Reading (W. Berkshire) does need routine cover in Year 3.

All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and barring service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
