Barnsley Recruitment Services are looking for a Quantity Surveyor for our client, a specialist contractor in social housing reactive maintenance, landlord property refurbishment, and shopfitting. This role involves managing projects across the East and West Midlands, combining office-based work with occasional site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and agree monthly valuations for projects
- Identify, price, and notify relevant parties of variations
- Conduct take-offs and measurements for social housing reactive maintenance tasks
- Procure materials required for the works
- Negotiate and prepare final accounts with clients and contractors
- Provide monthly commercial performance reports, highlighting risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure efficient and timely project delivery
- Attend progress reviews and provide commercial input
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 yearsβ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, maintenance, or refurbishment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
