Senior Manager Technical Operations

Senior Technical Operations Manager (Mechanical Engineering) – Stevenage – 12-month FTC – £65-70k

One of our key clients has a brand-new requirement for a Technical Operations Manager with a mechanical engineering background to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, forward-thinking business with an excellent reputation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring regulations and compliance are followed at all times
• Responsible for ensuring a culture of workforce safety
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with senior managers
• Effectively leading a team of 20, with five direct reports, including leading team meetings and carrying out individual performance reviews
• Ensuring the team is adhering to KPIs and SLAs
• Carrying out resilience planning across operations
• Providing a technical oversight over all work carried out by the Operations Team
• Regularly liaising with stakeholders to understand any changes in requirements for the team
• Contributing towards strategic planning across the operations department

Key skills and experience required:

• 5+ years in senior leadership roles in engineering, facilities management or similar environments
• Experience in highly regulated environments
• Bachelor’s degree, HND or HNC in Engineering, Building Services or similar
• Either holding NEBOSH National General Certificate or working towards it
• Strong workplace safety management knowledge and experience within a front-line technical area
• A deep understanding of building services regulations and codes of practice
• The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
