We are looking for two Trainee Machine Operatives to join our team at Abernethy. This is a new and exciting opportunity, where you will be responsible for operating our VFFS, check weighing and automated equipment.
At Branston, potatoes are our business, supplying both fresh and prepared products to one of the biggest retailers within the UK. The role is based at our Fresh factory, which has recently undergone huge developments, with new automation and machinery installed as part of our continuous improvement plans.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable however not essential as full training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be a key part in our operations, daily duties will include;
- Operate VFFS and check weigh equipment as per standard operating procedures.
- Carry out daily checks on equipment and reporting any defects promptly.
- Undertake routine checks on quality of product, ensuring it meets customer specifications.
- Coordinate and motivate the team working within your assigned production line, being the first point of call for any issues.
- Champion health and safety best practice.
