Working within the new centralised insights team, you will be an independent thought leader at the heart of creative and commercial decision-making, providing a single source of truth and a big-picture perspective, challenging and advising the business to ensure profitable growth through data.
Job Purpose
The Insight Business Partner supports the Commercial division, responsible for revenue from advertising sales, brand partnerships, sponsorships, and digital initiatives. You will be an expert thought leader, translating complex data into high-value insights for the Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Leadership, enabling profitable decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and prioritize insights portfolio with C-suite stakeholders, impacting strategic decisions and performance.
- Maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, providing accurate and impactful intelligence to support strategic objectives.
- Source insights from in-house data or liaise with external research organizations for bespoke requirements.
- Translate data into understandable insights through storytelling, facilitating business decision-making.
- Manage insight deliverables, work priorities, and team capacity, including external research projects.
- Innovate and propose new insight approaches based on industry trends and data techniques.
- Collaborate with other BPs and teams to source advanced research and analysis capacity.
- Contribute to evolving the insight function’s impact and capabilities.
- Manage a team of 2-4 Insight Analysts, coaching and developing to deliver high-quality insights.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting a commercial division, especially in advertising revenue contexts.
- Proven insight capability and understanding of intelligence activities.
- Strong business understanding of industry, market, and digital strategies.
- Confidence and gravitas to engage with C-suite and build trust.
- Influencing and storytelling skills to communicate complex data effectively.
- Collaborative approach within teams and across the business.
- Negotiation skills to challenge and align stakeholders.
- Interest in innovative insight methods and tools.
- People management experience leading a specialist team.
- Project management skills, including managing external agencies and internal teams.
