Connect Appointments have a new permanent opportunity for a Graduate I.T. Engineer to join our Dunfermline based client.

Working as a Graduate I.T. Engineer, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Development and support of SQL based database software that is used internally to scan and track products through the manufacturing process
  • Design and maintain databases to hold all product serial number information for traceability
  • Support users on the Javelin ERP system
  • Write and maintain custom Crystal reports as requested by users
  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements
  • Enable faster and smarter business processes that improve employee productivity
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

To be successful in this Graduate I.T. Engineer role, you will have two years of previous I.T. experience. Experience in SQL server relational database programming and writing and debugging C#.NET applications for Windows would be highly advantageous. Combined with the following:

  • Knowledge of operating systems, current equipment, technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
