By leveraging advanced data products and platforms, Covéa can gain deeper insights into customer behaviour, optimize operations, and stay ahead of regulatory requirements. The right Data Architect will play a pivotal role in this transformation, ensuring that the company\\\\\\'s data strategy is robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.Whilst technical proficiency is needed, Covéa are specifically looking for the right individual who can use their knowledge of data products, platforms, methodologies and governance to understand our ambitions, investigate to get to the root of problems, bring teams together, foster understanding, and take the business on a journey.The role is a hybrid role, therefore will involve a mix of working from home and also from our Halifax office.What will I be doing? Designing data structures and integrations that enable rapid and effective solution deliveryDeveloping Architecture patterns and solutions and developing Target Architecture that meet the strategy and needs of the businessActing as design authority on Data projects, ensuring adherence to architecture and design standards and the Target ArchitectureDeveloping the relevant subject matter expertise or identifying and utilising individuals with relevant expertise to assist themSupporting with high profile, large-scale complex projects and programmesDriving solution adoption; building consensus and acceptance of a solution, and supporting the delivery team actively resolving constraintsEnsuring that the project level architecture implemented, meets the project business objectives and technical requirementsEnsuring a well-defined set of requirements exists to support the architecture creation process, a prerequisite being that the requirements have been agreed with the customerOperating within a governance process, and ensuring architecture deliverables satisfy and address design challengesReviewing changes, proposals and designs to ensure compliance with roadmaps, standards and principlesYou should apply if you have…Expertise in designing high-quality, data-centric solutions at conceptual, logical, and physical levelsExperience in data analysis and modelling, including designing and maintaining data models at both enterprise and solution levels.Proficiency in handling structured and unstructured data types, and experience with relational and graph databasesExperience with Data frameworks such as Data Vault, Kimball and InmonDetailed understanding of Databricks, Unity Catalog, DLT, external connectors etc.General experience with cloud and on prem Data Warehouse, Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures and technologiesCloud architect/data architect certifications (Databricks, AWS & Azure) preferredAssertiveness in dealing with people at all levels within and outside of the delivery organisation, including partner and client organisationsUnderstanding complex business challenges & opportunities (risks and opportunities across information, people, process and technology)We understand that some candidates may be hesitant to apply for a position if they do not meet all the criteria listed in the job description.
