2025 Summer internship, Data Science & Marketing Analytics Consultant, London

As an Eki Intern, you will work alongside Eki Consultants on challenging projects with international clients across diverse industries.

We aim to make your experience with us as close to real life as possible so that you get a true and realistic idea of who we are, the work we do and the kinds of projects you can expect to work on as a data science consultant. So, from day one, you will be collaborating on client and R&D projects, and getting involved with Eki life, and as both a data scientist and consultant, you will use and develop advanced data analytics and consulting skills throughout your time with us.

You’ll also take on a small research project of your choosing, allowing you to use the knowledge you have gained to model, analyse and present business insights to the management at Ekimetrics.

From discovery meetings to final recommendations, responsibilities include:

· Gathering analysing and validating data

· Building statistical machine learning models and econometric models with media and non-media drivers

· Translating quantitative insights into strategic recommendations to deliver results.

The projects will push you to create innovative approaches as an owner of your projects and our close-knit team will guide your growth to build expertise on best-practice methodologies and industry knowledge. Data Analysis and Model Construction

· Utilise advanced statistical techniques and best data practices to help the team progress through project work;

· Develop a logical story combining data and industry knowledge to share actionable insights that will drive our clients’ businesses.

· Advanced analytics and modelling, including MMM, unified measurement, testing, segmentation, behavioralsciences, forecasting and other statistical techniques.

· Work with different tech such as Python, Pyspark, Internal modelling tools, Git, Jira, Databricks, VS code, Panda Api, Decorators,

1. Strategic partnerships with clients

· Gain a deep understanding of clients’ business context and experience.

· Deliver findings and battle plans with excellence and confidence.

· Provide ad-hoc analyses that further develop projects and client relationships by parameterising the business questions.

1. Ekimetrics R&D

· Support our fast growth by contributing to the development of new methodologies and offers.

· Undertake an individual research project, enhancing your learning by applying new knowledge in a practical setting, and presenting insights to management.

We are looking for people who are able to wear 2 hats – the data scientist and the strategic consultant.

1. Data Skills

· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent) in statistics, economics, engineering, or related analytical field

· Some prior experience (academic or professional) in data analysis / modelling / advanced analytics or ML

· Love of all things data and an extensive knowledge in statistics or applied mathematics

· Experience using analytical methodologies to answer questions

· Experience with statistical software such as Python or R (We use python internally)

1. Consulting Skills

· Prior internship in a consulting environment or interest in working as a consultant

· Strong interest in marketing & business issues

· Exceptional written and oral communication skills

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

· A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects effectively

· Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment, Continuously striving for their best

· Good sense of humour!

1. Additional Requirements:

· Students in their penultimate or final year of study.

· Must be able to work onsite in London, UK.

· Must have full right to work in the UK.

· Must be able to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week).

Our recruitment process

Online technical test (HackerRank) 45 minutes to 1 hour.

HR Interview & Introduction to Ekimetrics 15-30 minutes.

Assessment with a Consultant – 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Case study & final assessment – 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Interviews will commence In February after the closing date.
