Locum Social Worker – Children’s Duty & Assessment Team

Are you an experienced Children’s Social Worker looking for your next locum role in a dynamic high-performing team? Bradford Children’s Services is seeking skilled professionals to join their Duty & Assessment Team – where your expertise will help safeguard and improve the lives of children and families across the district. The nature of work within the Duty Service is fast-paced and varied.
Key responsibilities
- Completing timely and robust assessments under the Single Assessment Framework
- Managing a caseload with varying levels of complexity
- Engaging with children, families and partner agencies to identify needs and ensure safety
- Making clear and effective decisions on intervention and next steps
- Preparing and presenting reports for ICPCs, CLA Reviews, PLO meetings and CIN meetings
The Duty Service does not hold cases long-term. Following your assessment and intervention period, outcomes will determine which long-term team the family transitions to which ensures continuity and appropriate support.
