The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the whole international supply chain, from production and distribution through to wholesalers, retailers and our Flagship Store as well as E-commerce. It is the role of the Logistics Manager to coordinate this flow effectively on a strategic and daily basis. You will ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You will also be responsible for managing 3rd party logistics and freight orders.
Key Accountabilities
- Build successful relationships with the warehouses both in person and remotely.
- Ensure data control accuracy regarding stock and flows.
- Manage relationships effectively both internally and externally.
- Work proactively with executives, translating the supply chain strategy, obstacles and solutions effectively.
- Work on new supply chain contracts, deep understanding logistic flows and custom regulation to deliver a comprehensive logistics operations strategy.
- Understanding the implication of Customs/Duty Taxe on Supply Chain, Logistics flow and provide direction for solutions.
- Understand IT systems, to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs.
- Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle.
- Use data from IT systems to evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements.
- Allocate and manage resources according to changing needs.
- Develop business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
- Understand, work with team to develop improved operational flows.
- Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures.
- Manage staff training issues.
- Motivate other members of the team.
- Plan and manage projects.
- Use specialist knowledge and provide consultancy services.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience.
- A business, computing, distribution or management degree is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written across all levels of an organisation.
- A logical and systematic approach to work.
- Excellent time management.
- The ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions.
- Commercial awareness and numeracy skills.
- Some degree of IT literacy, system integration and the flow of information.
- The ability to manage change.
