Post-Doc Scientist – High Performance Batteries Newton Colmore is working with a battery and energy storage technology company in Cambridge and we are assisting them with their search for a post-doc scientist. As a Post-doc Scientist, you will be charged with developing the company’s next generation energy storage materials and high-performance battery systems. This will include working within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to maximise the performance of battery materials and contribute to developing a deep understanding of the key structure – property relationships in functional battery materials and materials formulations. Some other key parts to the role will include; Designing, synthesising, and evaluating novel functional battery materials. Establishing structure-property correlations and to characterise their impact on battery performance Creative contributions to brainstorms, studies, and project meeting discussions. Proposal and design of novel materials and recommendations to solve chemical synthetic issues. To be considered for this role we are looking for people with strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and polymers that complements a PhD in Chemistry. Any experience with battery technologies or electrochemical techniques would be a significant advantage.
