We are seeking an experienced Design Approver to support an Aerospace project. You will have a strong background in airframe structural design engineering (metallic and composite), capable of delivering and verifying detailed design packages using CATIA V5 and the Dassault 3D Experience (DMU) platform. This role involves delivering both design and design check capabilities, leading a team responsible for preparing and approving model-based definitions for composite and metallic structures. The Design Approver will ensure all outputs meet customer technical specifications, are compatible with system routing needs, and align with regulatory and manufacturing requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing design activities, acting as the technical focal point for assigned projects.
- Preparing design definitions, drawings, ECNs, and manufacturing data.
- Verifying, checking, and approving engineering documentation to ensure design compliance.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams, particularly Systems Integration, to maintain design continuity.
- Managing work packages, budgets, and delivery schedules in line with customer expectations.
- Attending key meetings and design reviews.
Must-Have Skills:
- Current Design Approver Signatory (metallic/composite aero structures).
- Expertise in airframe structures: Wing, Empennage, Fuselage.
- Proficient in CATIA V5, GD&T, tolerance stack-ups.
- Familiar with composite/honeycomb and metallic manufacturing processes.
