About the Role:

As Location Manager, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic innovation space part coworking hub, part business support ecosystem. You’ll lead the day-to-day operations while playing a key role in nurturing a collaborative environment for startups, scaleups, and growing SMEs. Your role will combine strategic leadership, community engagement, sales, and operational oversight. You’ll help position the location as a go-to destination for forward-thinking founders and organisations looking to innovate and scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovation & Community Development
    • Build and grow a strong community of entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators.
    • Leverage networks to attract ambitious businesses into the space and workshops.
    • Partner with innovation and business support programmes to add value to the member experience.
    • Support the delivery of events and initiatives that inspire connection, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing.
    • Champion a culture of innovation and curiosity within the workspace and beyond.
  • Sales & Client Engagement
    • Drive occupancy through active lead generation, pipeline management, and member retention.
    • Conduct tours and onboarding, negotiate deals, and maintain excellent client relationships.
    • Represent the location at networking events and engage with the broader business ecosystem to increase awareness.
  • Operations & Facilities Management
    • Ensure the smooth running of the site, from facilities and building management to process optimisation and service delivery.
    • Maintain full Health & Safety compliance and liaise with contractors and suppliers as needed.
    • Manage billing cycles, budgets, and reporting, ensuring all financial processes are efficient and accurate.
  • Member Experience
    • Deliver a high-quality, engaging member journey from onboarding to ongoing support.
    • Collaborate with events and marketing teams to curate an exciting calendar of activities for members.
    • Work closely with internal teams to align services with the evolving needs of the community.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a small, motivated team with a collaborative, purpose-driven approach.
    • Support team members through regular 1:1s, personal development plans, and performance reviews.
    • Foster a strong service culture and ensure the team is aligned on delivering an exceptional member experience.

About You:

You bring:

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance sales, service, and operations
  • A passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and helping businesses grow
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in fast-paced, service-driven environments
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in innovation hubs, flexible workspaces, accelerators, or creative/tech environments

Bonus points for:

  • Existing networks within startup or innovation ecosystems
  • Experience with innovation programmes, prototyping spaces, or community development
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, Xero, OfficeRnD, or similar tools
