Our client is a leading digital product, brand and marketing agency based in London. They are looking for a Freelance Marketing Communications Manager to work along the Marketing Director and assist with all their internal marketing campaigns. This position is part-time 2 to 3 days per week and for 3 months minimum. They offer hybrid working and offices are in London. Day Rate: £300 outside IR35.
The Role & Responsibilities
- Your day-to-day focus is on coordinating and executing marketing tasks that promote the agency and generate commercial opportunities.
- Providing support across all marketing activities, as well as actively contributing to the creation and evolution of marketing strategies and plans, you work closely with the leadership team.
- You own all aspects of our campaigns, from creating plans and liaising with production teams to implementation across key channels.
- You will drive our key social media content initiatives, including our vodcast production and case study promotion.
- You will liaise with key delivery teams across web, creative and leadership to coordinate key activations.
- Responding to ideas from the leadership team, you create a variety of content needed to execute the marketing strategy, including but not limited to, thought leadership pieces, video and visual assets that drive engagement with the agency.
- This will be a key element of executing a content plan that will be created in partnership with the growth leadership.
- Executing successfully against this plan will deliver measurable outcomes that positively impact the bottom line.
- Immersed in data, and with guidance from the growth leadership team, you track and report on key performance metrics across the 360 marketing process.
- You understand what great performance looks like and understand what data to track and how to apply the learning from that data.
- In partnership with the technical team, you interpret web analytics data to optimise its performance, including organic traffic, bounce rate, and conversion rates to improve user experience and drive lead generation.
- Responding to specific client needs you coordinate the creation of content to support the pitch process in partnership with other members of the growth team.
- Flexing your creative muscles you tell compelling stories of the agency's capabilities through pitch decks, case studies and radials.
- Away from responding to specific client needs you produce engaging marketing assets that present the agency in the appropriate tone of voice and communicate with our target market in a way that inspires and excites.
- Partnering with the studio manager, you coordinate the creative resources needed for the workstreams you are engaged in.
- Owning the events calendar, you identify and suggest relevant events in London for attendance, focusing on those that offer networking opportunities to discover new leads and expand our network.
- Using your understanding of the awards landscape, you suggest which to enter and why, showcasing to senior members of the growth team where you think the opportunities are.
Skills required
- As a marketing professional you bring experience of working within an agency in a marketing or comms position, where there has been a focus on generating new customers through your marketing activity.
- Your experience will include one or more of the following:
- Demonstrable experience in running marketing campaigns across traditional and digital channels.
- Experience managing social content production and campaigns.
- Experience writing awards submissions.
- Experience coordinating events.
- Experience in setting up and optimising Google AdWords campaigns.
- Knowledge of website analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GSC).
