We are seeking an excellent Sushi Chef (Chef de Partie level), with an interest in Mexican & Japanese cuisine and culture, wanting career growth for a busy and vibrant restaurant located in the heart of Notting Hill. As a Sushi Chef de Partie we would love you to have:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or sushi bar.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle sushi knives safely.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Full ownership in your role.
- Good English language communication skills with a willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
- Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes, and standards.
- Drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team.
- Train and mentor junior sushi chefs, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to standards.
- The desire to develop your career within an ambitious and trend-setting restaurant.
- Proof of right to work/pre-settled status in UK.
