We are partnering with a renowned university based in South West London to recruit a HR Advisor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert guidance on employee relations and UK employment law while making a real impact in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job title: HR Advisor
Contract length: 8-10 months
Salary: £38,000 – £43,000 (offer commensurate on experience)
Hours per week: 37
Location: South West London (hybrid working – 3 day in office, 2 days working from home)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HR advisory support to directorates with a staff headcount of 1,000 employees
- Assist with absence management and grievance resolution
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and university policies
- Organise and facilitate drop-in sessions for management to share knowledge on employment law, focusing on both employee and employer perspectives
- Offer guidance and support to managers and staff on HR-related matters
- Support the Senior HR Advisor with complex employee relations casework

- Qualifications: CIPD qualified (or actively working towards qualification)
- Experience: Proven expertise in managing employee relations
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK employment law
