Job Description
Our client is one of the UK's fastest growing eyewear suppliers, with a portfolio that includes luxury British designer brands which complement their trend-led house collections.
They are currently looking for a Junior Product Buyer and Developer to be responsible for developing and launching products for their house brands and luxury licensed brands. They have an ambitious and growing workload hence the role will have an administrative element to it, so excellent organisational and analytical skills will be needed.
Key Responsibilities for the Buyer and Developer include:
- Liaising with suppliers and developing products and collections from briefs
- Identifying and interpreting trends to create products suitable for the optical market
- Stock control, negotiating and monitoring cost prices and delivery schedules
- Developing cases and POS materials
- Attending major eyewear exhibitions and conferences internationally on behalf of the company
Skills and Experience needed for the Buyer and Developer:
- Degree educated and a competent user of the Microsoft Office Suite
- An eye for exceptional design with a knowledge and understanding of luxury brands and quality
- The ability to write succinctly
- Ideally fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Experience or placement within a buying / purchasing role would be advantageous
In return the salary on offer is £28k to £32k with flexible start and finish times plus 1-day remote working per week. Other benefits include pension, your birthday off, health & wellness support, free annual eye test and optical & sunwear frame allowance.
