Our client is a leading metal fabrication company specialising in the production of precision-engineered components for industries such as aerospace, automotive, and heavy equipment. With a commitment to quality and innovation, we are looking to strengthen our team with a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Quality Inspector.
As the Senior Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all fabricated components meet stringent engineering and customer specifications. You will be responsible for visual inspections, dimensional checks, and the operation of a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to verify product quality at various stages of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections on metal components to identify surface defects, weld integrity, and fabrication issues
- Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to perform precision measurements
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve non-conformances and drive corrective actions
- Assist in maintaining ISO quality standards and internal quality procedures
The successful Senior Quality Inspector:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quality Inspector in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Proficient in using manual measurement tools and CMM equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
