An award-winning, top-ranked legal team specialising in media law is seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join its dynamic disputes practice for a fixed-term maternity cover. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of media litigation, supporting some of the most high-profile names in the industry.
The Role
You will join a highly regarded team recognised as a market leader in media disputes, with a diverse client base that includes national and international news organisations, publishers, broadcasters, streaming services, and online media platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on a wide range of contentious matters including defamation, privacy, data protection, and newsgathering issues
- Providing pre-publication/content clearance advice and handling regulatory complaints (where applicable)
- Managing a varied and fast-paced caseload, with direct client contact
- Contributing to business development and team growth initiatives
About You
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable lawyer with:
- 4 years+ PQE
- A strong background in litigation, ideally with media disputes experience
