As a Fleet Reliability Engineer, you are responsible for providing technical expertise for all aspects of Reliability Engineering related to Wabtec Rolling Stock projects. This includes creating, maintaining, and managing fleet-specific reliability growth plans, analyzing reliability data, and identifying actions to meet technical and contractual performance targets.

How will you make a difference?

  • Drive technical reliability analysis, reporting, and provide summaries of incident counts and data analysis for reliability and quality metrics.
  • Develop and implement fleet/system reliability growth plans.
  • Support the development and implementation of Wabtec’s FRACAS/WIM Processes and Procedures.
  • Support technical/reliability review meetings and ensure flagged items are tracked and included in the reliability growth plan.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) and Business/Management/Finance qualifications (PRINCE2 or APM).
  • Proven track record in fleet/technical engineering/reliability within the rail industry, specifically with modern passenger fleets.
  • Sound understanding of modern train systems, FRACAS, Cost Benefit Analysis, FTA methodologies, and safety and reliability compliance.
  • Experience in reliability growth models and providing technical guidance within a matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel to various Wabtec UK sites and customer locations, with a valid driving license.
