Search recruitment are recruiting for a Reprographic Mac Operator based in the Wakefield area.
Roles and Responsibilities
This position involves the preparation of print-ready files for both Flexographic and Digital printing processes. The role requires working from client specifications to ensure accurate file setup, including layout (stepping) and thorough quality control of all files before output. Responsibilities also include reviewing both individual and composite (stepped) files for accuracy, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process artwork files according to specifications for Flexographic and Digital printing.
- Perform layout (stepping) of artwork for efficient plate and press output.
- Conduct quality checks on both individual design files and imposed layouts to ensure they meet technical and brand standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards across all prepared files.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Reprographics Operator or in a similar prepress role.
- Familiarity with artwork for Beer, Wine, and Spirits brands is highly desirable.
- Strong experience preparing files for both Flexographic and Digital print production.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Preferably experienced with Esko Automation Engine and related workflow tools.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Additional Details:
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience.
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required to meet business needs.
