Are you an experienced Composite Manufacturing Engineer? I want to talk to you!I am looking for an experienced Composite Manufacturing Engineer to join an exciting client of mine who are a leading manufacturer in the Aerospace sector. This position will be responsible for the development of composite processing techniques, improving manufacturing processes and supporting NPI and existing product programs. The ideal candidate will have demonstratable experience in a similar position and possess an in-depth knowledge of Composites.Composite Manufacturing EngineerPermanentMonday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5pm, Friday 8:30am – 2pm (Flexible Working Hours Available)Very Competitive Salary on OfferStevenageComposite Manufacturing Engineer Job Description
- Knowledge of composite materials processing methods such as in and out of autoclave pre-preg systems and RTM, along with knowledge of core processing techniques.
- Creation of concise work instructions for end to end composite component manufacture to support a “Right first Time” initiative.
- Experience of working with an ERP system to create and maintain BoMs and Routings.
- Experience utilising a range of problem solving techniques such as 8D and 5 Whys.
- Experience in identifying and specifying tooling requirements for moulding and assembly processes and the ability to accept and approve tooling for production use.
- Experience in the conducting of PFMEA’s and implementation of control plans across a range of different product lines.
Composite Manufacturing Engineer Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications to HND level within a relative engineering subject or an accredited Engineering Apprenticeship in addition to industrial experience.
- Previous experience working in a similar position
- In-depth knowledge of Composite and Material Processing methods
