We are hiring a Technical Recruiter on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract basis. You will join our in-house Talent team of 3 and own our technical hiring across Software Engineering, Product, Data, and Design, with the majority of your focus on engineering. Our technical stack includes React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Python. You will partner closely with our new Head of Engineering and will be involved in scaling existing teams and shaping our technical organisation’s structure. We value continuous improvement in candidate experience and support our hiring managers in attracting top talent to help us decarbonise the planet and combat climate change. This role is suitable for someone available to start immediately or within 1 month.
What you’ll do:
- Source, screen, and progress candidates through interview pipelines for London-based or UK remote software engineers (full stack, backend, and frontend).
- Develop proactive sourcing strategies for strategic technical roles, using innovative techniques like networking and event participation to identify passive candidates.
- Partner with stakeholders to deliver an 'executive search' style experience.
- Build strong relationships with candidates for both short-term and long-term hiring needs.
- Ensure an excellent candidate experience and continuously seek improvements.
- Collaborate with the wider recruitment team.
- Adopt a consultative approach focusing on speed, quality, and diversity in recruitment.
To succeed, you need:
- At least 2 years of in-house technical recruiting experience in a high-bar environment.
- Experience hiring software engineers in London, familiarity with leading tech companies, and a strong candidate network.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Comfort working with diverse teams and a collaborative mindset focused on our mission to change the energy system globally.
- Experience in screening and assessing candidates across various roles for technical skills and cultural fit.
