A Commercial Insurance broker providing insurance solutions to both businesses and individuals with offices in Twickenham now has the opportunity for a Technical Placement Broker to join the business.
The role of a Technical Placement Broker is to build and maintain strong relationships with insurer partners, ensure effective placement of large complex commercial risks and to ensure governance in relation to new and existing insurer relationships.
Key accountabilities will include:
- To take responsibility for the development and execution of a regional broking and placement strategy in line with the business’ national strategy.
- To develop and execute the overall broking strategy to drive business growth, enhance client retention and ensure profitability.
- To be the broking and placement focal point for the business.
- To broker all large, complex new business risks.
- To act as trouble shooter for Commercial and Corporate renewals where there are broking or placement issues.
- To use technical knowledge and market insights to negotiate and close deals on renewals and new business risks as required.
- To build and maintain strong relationships with Insurers, conducting reviews with Insurers on a quarterly basis.
- Monitoring and reviewing Insurer Placement deals, ensuring overall account performance is met.
You will also have the following:
- Strong commercial lines insurance knowledge gained in a broking or insurance company environment.
- Proven experience of commercial lines insurance broking or underwriting.
- In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and principles.
- Experience in placement of complex risks, including Lloyds Markets.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial lines insurer markets.
- Excellent insurer trading and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
