Are you a dynamic and strategic thinker with a passion for procurement and supply chain excellence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! This is a permanent, hybrid role at our site in Bradford, where you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment. Every decision you make will impact efficiency and cost-effectiveness, so we're looking for someone who truly excels under pressure. In return for your expertise, we're offering a generous salary of £35,000 - £45,000, depending on your experience.

As our Procurement Team Manager, you will lead a talented team of Procurement Assistants. Together you will ensure we secure the best suppliers, negotiate competitive contracts, and keep our supply chain running smoothly. You'll play a pivotal part in driving cost savings, creating efficiencies, improving supplier performance and relationships, and delivering sustainable solutions for our customers. Working closely with our Head of Procurement & Sustainability and other key stakeholders, you'll develop and implement a procurement strategy that enhances value and performance across the organisation.

What will you be involved with as our Procurement Team Manager:

  • Develop and execute a strategy through consistent negotiating, ensuring alignment with business financial targets
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and implement innovative solutions within the procurement process to improve service levels
  • Build and manage relationships with all our key contracts to achieve competitive pricing, flexibility and service reliability for our stakeholders
  • Proactive monitoring and reviewing supplier KPI’s & SLAs to ensure service excellence
  • Deliver cost savings and value generation through effective procurement strategies and supplier negotiations
  • Manage a team of Procurement Assistants, providing guidance, support and coaching opportunities for wider development in their role

What skills and experiences we need from our Procurement Team Manager:

  • Proven experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain environment within logistics
  • Exposure and knowledge of transportation and carrier services is desirable
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to drive cost savings
  • Excel at driving efficiencies and cost savings through strategic procurement initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing skills, and commercial acumen
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data and market insights to drive procurement decisions
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other MS packages
