Key Functions And Responsibilities
- As an Engineering Manager in Benchmarking and Indices Division of Data & Analytics, you will be involved in managing multiple teams of developers, development and supporting delivery of various engineering and automation initiatives that address key Index Operational Risk concerns.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in designing solutions for business problems that involve complex User Interfaces, data intensive operations and process hand-offs.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement solutions using the newest technologies that align with architecture, business processes.
- Line Management of team of developers, testers and devops.
- Lead Solution Design and Development.
- Work closely with business to work on the solutions that are meaningful for the Index Business.
- Identifies, prioritises, and drives tasks in the software development life cycle (Agile).
- Works closely with Index Delivery and Index Management business function to deliver products, services, improvements, and solutions to meet customer needs and align with the goals of the business line.
- Develops tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
- Automates tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Lead development of technical solutions for the team by example.
- Performance Reviews.
Qualification
- 12+ years’ experience in Software Development and engineering experience in data intensive applications.
- Strong experience in database development, building micro services using modern technologies (like C#), and in front-end frameworks (like Angular).
- High exposure and experience in working with native cloud services in Azure, AWS.
- Experience in SDLC and Agile based delivery with extensive experience in CI/CD tools & automation required.
- Helps in formation/setting up of teams through interviewing and identifying different skill sets required to deliver the project successfully.
Advantageous Experience:
- Financial markets Index and Benchmarking experience.
- Solid experience in UI development for business-critical applications in Angular (8 and above), Java Script, HTML/CSS, C#.
- Exposure to a variety of AWS services.
