Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year
We are currently working with a large and reputable bus company based in Blackburn, and we’re looking for a skilled Bus Mechanic to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established organisation that prides itself on its high standards and commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct maintenance and repairs on a large fleet of buses, ensuring they are roadworthy and operating at peak performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Perform routine inspections, servicing, and MOT preparations.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards in the bus industry.
Work collaboratively with a team of engineers to minimise vehicle downtime and maximise service efficiency.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bus Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (or relevant mechanical qualification).
Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
A full UK driving licence (PCV licence is an advantage).
A proactive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong commitment to health and safety standards.What’s on Offer:
